About inner strength…

A wounded bird I once saved

I’ve done it all
For far too long
You see my last step
And call it
Overnight success

I’ve been here
For quite a while
I’ve chosen my path
Guided by passion
And steady love

I offer shelter
I give support
You’re not alone
While I’m still here
You won’t be touched

This isn’t fair
Nor is it unfair
It’s simply life
It blooms
It breaks

Only I know
How much I’ll give
I believe in one thing
There’s no one
I admire more
Than myself
